San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport is located approximately 6 minutes from the wedding venue, and 10-15 minutes from the beach. There are direct flights from Denver, Portland, Seattle, and Phoenix into SLO or Santa Maria (which is 40 minutes away). If you can swing it, we highly recommend flying into this local airport to get the full SLO experience.

Otherwise, Los Angeles International Airport, Santa Barbara Municipal Airport, and San Jose International Airport are other options if you have time for some extra driving. Flying into San Jose early may allow you to squeeze in a road trip along the beautiful Highway 1 along Big Sur. We would never discourage adding a little more adventure to your trip out west.

From any of these airports, you can rent a vehicle. Or, if you fly into SLO, you can Uber around town.

Accommodations

Inn at the Pier: If you want to spend the weekend in the heart of a classic California beach town, minutes from the water's edge.

Outside of the room block in Pismo Beach, there are dozens of other hotels in downtown Pismo which would be within walking distance to Inn at the Pier, where shuttles will arrive on wedding day for transportation to and from the venue. These include Sea Gypsy Motel, Motel 6, Sandcastle Hotel, Edgewater Inn, Seacrest Hotel, Dolphin Cove Motel, Beachcomber Inn, Oxford Suites Pismo Beach, and Vespera Resort in Pismo Beach.

Venturing away from downtown Pismo, here are some other great options.

The Cliffs: A quieter, more relaxing hotel if you want to spend your weekend poolside with epic views.

Hotel San Luis Obispo: 10 minutes down the road from the wedding venue and right in the heart of San Luis Obispo if you're more city and less beach.

AirBNB: This area has an abundance of rentals through AirBNB, whether you prefer to be coastal, in the college town of SLO, or in the wine region of Edna Valley. This may be a good option for bigger groups/families who would like to stay together.
